DISMISSED DPP MEMBERS RETURN TO THE PARTY

Prolly a week after four Democratic Progressive Party-DPP members including the Vice president for party in the south, Kondwani Nankhumwa had won the case where they demanding a compensation from the party for their expulsion, the four has now withdrawn their demands.

Nankhumwa together with Grezelda Jeffrey a Secretary general, Jappie Mhango a treasurer and Yusuf Nthenda Mulanje West DPP MP took the party in court last year after the four were expelled under unsound reasons.

"We were not even given a chance to be heard before the expulsion was implemented as it is spelled out in the disciplinary framework of the party. As bona fide citizens of this country, we decided to exercise our right to legal redress, which is why we turned to the courts to obtain an injunction against the decision to expel us" said Nankhumwa on his Facebook.

However, the four have now withdrawn their demands to be compensated with k87 million kwacha despite winning the case said their lawyer Cassius Chidothe who has was instructed by Nthenda.

"We have decided to withdraw this claim in its entirety. We will use our personal resources to settle all outstanding legal bills pertaining to this specific matter and put this matter to rest" reads the statement made by Mankhwala.
