Just a week after there was misunderstanding in Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on who exactly is going to drive the party as the party president in the convention scheduled to happen next year, the party seem to have now restored peace.
There has been a misunderstanding in the party as especially among the party gurus that have shared their deep interests to run for president for the party.
The DPP Vice President for the Eastern Region Bright Msaka is among the party gurus that have already expressed their interests for president. On the other hand, Kondwani Nankhumwa who is a leader of opposition in parliament challenged everyone on the position.
During press briefing held in Lilongwe last week, Msaka worried that what the party gurus are doing as part of sharing their interests for the president is disunifying the party.
He said this during a press briefing he held in Lilongwe where among other things he highlighted his plan to revive Malawi once elected as president.
However, there has not been any noise in the party as peace seem to have been restored in the party as the statement signed by Shadric Namalomba, Mutharika's spokesperson encourage everyone to be patient and wait for the convention.
